Description

This sour cream and chive dip recipe is fresh and tangy, full of chive flavor. This chive dip is made with simple ingredients and is sure to be a hit at any party or for a simple snack. A dip that is perfect for dipping potato chips and vegetables.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash, dry, and finely chop the chives; set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Stir in the chopped chives, mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Stir again before serving.
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use full fat sour cream and mayo for the best flavor.
  • Make a day ahead of time, so the flavors have time to fully develop.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to four days. Stir well before serving.
