Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bottle dry red wine
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 apple
- 1 orange
Instructions
- Stir the wine, orange juice, bourbon, and honey in a 2-quart pitcher. Stir well to incorporate the honey.
- Wash, core, and chop the apple. Wash and slice the orange into thin slices. Add to the pitcher and stir.
- Chill for at least 4 hours up to 8 hours.
- Serve and enjoy in wine glasses, mason jars, or lowball glasses.
- Garnish with orange slices.
Notes
- Honey blends better than granulated sugar, giving the sangria a smoother taste. Granulated sugar can be used; just make sure to stir until it dissolves completely.
- Garnish with orange slices, chopped apples, or the fruit of your choosing.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 8 hours for the flavors to fully develop.
