Description

This bold and refreshing Bourbon sangria blends dry red wine, smooth bourbon, fresh fruit, and sweet honey for the ultimate twist on a classic sangria. It’s easy to make and perect for parties,  holidays, or relaxing nights at home. Mix it up ahead of time and let the flavors meld into a drink everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle dry red wine
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 apple
  • 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Stir the wine, orange juice, bourbon, and honey in a 2-quart pitcher. Stir well to incorporate the honey.
  2. Wash, core, and chop the apple. Wash and slice the orange into thin slices. Add to the pitcher and stir.
  3. Chill for at least 4 hours up to 8 hours.
  4. Serve and enjoy in wine glasses, mason jars, or lowball glasses.
  5. Garnish with orange slices.

Notes

  • Honey blends better than granulated sugar, giving the sangria a smoother taste. Granulated sugar can be used; just make sure to stir until it dissolves completely.
  • Garnish with orange slices, chopped apples, or the fruit of your choosing.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 8 hours for the flavors to fully develop.
